Bibimbap & free additions at Namdaemun Market

Do you know Boribab or Bori Bibimbap? Bori means barley. Few weeks ago, I had and enjoyed it with my husband and daughter at Namhae shikdang, 'calgookso golmock', Namdaemun market.
You can try it with just 5,000 won! When you order 'boribab' or chalbab(made with glutinous rice), chef also gives calgooksoo and bibimnaengmyeon. They are '덤(deom)' so they are free. uncharged additon. great! Take it easy and enjoy all of the dishes! :D

Baeksasil-gyegok(valley)

Yesterday, I took a tracking in Baeksasil gyegok. I expected it for several weeks, but it was very busy so I could had a time for this short trip this time barely.

If you started walking at Segumjung area, get on any bus toward Pyunchang-dong and get it off at the bus stop 'Segumjung Elementary School'. At the bus stop, there was a stream and a cute bridge. Across the river, there was CU conveniece store and I found a sign board for '백사실계곡 가는 길(the way to Baeksasil-gyegok)'.

Yoido Fireworks Festival 2012

Korean calls fireworks as 불꽃놀이(bul-kot-nori). It means 'fire flower playing'. When I watch them, I can understand why people think that they look like flowers.

This movie is taken and edited double speed by my friend, on Oct. 6, 2012.

Psy concert in Seoul Plaza

Free Psy concert was held in Seoul Plaza last night. Very large crowd(about 80,000!) yelled "Psy" and "Park Jaesang(his real name)" and sang his songs and enjoyed together.

We can see Hongje Fall on Hongje Stream in Seodaemungu, Seoul.

Today is Gaechunjul(the day Dangoon established this country before 4345 years ago.),national holiday, so my family could amble along Hongje Chun(stream). There is a little fall. It's an artificial, but very beautiful so people enjoy and love it.

Do you know Psy and 'Gangnam Style'? I'm sure that you have heard about him or the music video once at least. Now I present 'Mom Style' made by several mothers in Jookjun, near by Seoul. It's very funny and you won't be disappointed.




I'm so sad that I cannot find this video translated into English.

Namdaemun Hotddog

Early spring, in this year, I could eat 'hotddog' at Namdaemun shijang(market). It is very popular because of its' low price and good taste, especially at cold weather.  

This hotddog is stuffed with honey(brown sugar and nuts), vegetable or seafood. At this photo, there are two stainless steel containers. Left one is vegetable and the other one is seafood(why red? cause the chef mixed it with gochugaru-hot spice.).

I bought six hotddogs and brought them home(where is the remainings? my husband and I ate them at that place immediately. yum~:)). They look like donuts or croquettes.

Let's cut them in half. We can see the stuffing-honey hotddog, seafood one and     vegetable one.

They are very chaeap and tasty. Try it, If you have any chance to come to Seoul and  visit Namdaemun Market. You won't regret it.
